Last year at this time, the world was navigating an almost full-stop to what we all had known as our daily life experience. Included in that pause for Marquis, Consonus, AgeRight and Vital Life, was the difficult but necessary choice to put a hold on all of the events and programs that have been woven into the fabric of our culture for so many years.
Now we are excited to announce that several of those events and programs will be returning this year! Some events will be slightly modified, others will occur at different times of the year, and some will remain on pause as we continue to steer our way through the effects of COVID-19.
In August of 2021, we will offer a modified version of “Spirit of ‘45”, celebrating and commemorating the end of World War II. As in the past, Vital Life Foundation, Dream Flights, Marquis and Consonus Healthcare will team up to create an event that brings joy and delight to seniors and senior health care staff alike! The event this year will be modified to continue to keep COVID-19 safety precautions at the forefront, and will focus on veteran senior airplane rides.
Also in August, in celebration of students returning to school, the Vital Life Foundation will be offering the Backpack to School program! This program supports the children of senior health care staff by providing backpacks stuffed full of the essential school supplies required to support learning.
In December, we will again recognize Marquis’ and Consonus’ finest at the annual Legends and Ambassadors Luncheon celebration. At this event, Legends and Ambassadors for both 2020 and 2021 will be honored. As you know, Legends are employees who are honored for choosing to make a defining act in a defining moment. Ambassadors are employees who have made a 10, 15, 20, 25 or even a 30-year commitment to serve as a Marquis or Consonus employee.
While not all of the events we have held traditionally in the past will make a full return in 2021, we’re looking forward to inviting many of you to participate in those that will be reintroduced this year, as safety and health return to our daily lives.
