On Veteran’s Day, several Marquis facilities honored their Veteran residents with Quilts of Valor.

Quilts of Valor are civilian awards quilted by local volunteers for those who have served in a branch of the armed forces. It’s a foundation that was started in 2003 by founder Catherine Roberts’ whose son was deployed in Iraq. The message she hopes that the quilts offer is one of healing.

In total, 25 resident Veterans of Marquis Companies received Quilts of Valor.

One celebration – at Marquis Forest Grove – included a pinning ceremony with special guest, Brittny Frederick, Mrs. Oregon American 2022.

Veteran Residents in 5 Marquis facilities were the honored recipients of these beautiful quilts.
