So here’s what happened: we gave away a CAR!
Between August and December of 2021, all Marquis employees were eligible to win a brand-new Mazda CX-5 if they referred a friend who was hired within that timeframe. You showed up in a big way, and rallied together to bring in 147 new hires for Marquis! In the months leading up to the car giveaway drawing, the growing excitement was palpable, and on Friday, December 10, the anticipation reached an all-time high as staff members in Oregon, California and Nevada tuned in to Marquis’ Instagram Live stream to see who had won.
Jessica believes in the company’s mission so much that she referred her friend to come work with her.
For those who weren’t able to view the presentation, let’s set the scene—bright balloons adorn the skyline, as a cherry red car slowly approaches and lively music plays outside of the Marquis Hope Village Assisted Living facility in Canby, Ore. Excited staff members whisper to each other as Zach Fogg, Vice President of Operations, steps outside of the coveted vehicle and announces the winner: Jessica Alvarado, Resident Services Coordinator.
Time stands still for her, and as confetti flies overhead, she accepts the keys from Zach and drinks in the moment. A full-on celebration ensues as Jessica runs her hands across the shiny hood of her new ride and sits in the driver’s seat of the Mazda CX-5 for the first time. Her coworkers and all Marquis staff watching on the live Instagram stream cheer, as they agree there is no one more deserving than Jessica.
An exceptional employee for more than 15 years, she began her Marquis career as a caregiver and has flourished in each position she has held since. Jessica believes in the company’s mission so much that she referred her friend to come work with her. We are thankful for her dedication to the residents she serves, her exceptional portrayal of what a Champion of The Journey looks like, and her passion for Marquis.
