Patricia Pittman, a resident at Marquis Vermont Hills, grew up on a Nebraska farm and was recently given the opportunity to re-experience country life. Thanks to the generosity of Jacqueline Hudson, an intern at the facility, Pat was invited to the family’s farm where she met Wildfire, a very young and gentle horse.

In August Vital Life Foundation in partnership with Dream Flights, a VLF charitable partner, and a local vintage plane collector, rides of a lifetime for senior veterans as a part of VLF’s ‘Spirit of ‘45’ celebration were given. Over 50 seniors took flight in either a Boeing Stearman bi-plane or a fully restored vintage Douglas DC-3.
